TAMPA, FL – The rum is flowing on Thursday, Jan. 25, as 2024 Gasparilla Pirate Fest approaches the shores of Tampa Bay. Trophy Fish in Seminole Heights located at 5901 N Florida Ave. is hosting a Gasparilla Launch Party from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Live music will be provided by DJ Aj Hall on vinyl. The event is sponsored by Bacardi and Santa Teresa Rum.

There will be a special cocktail in celebration of Tampa’s annual pirate festival called Los Bucaneros cocktail, a tribute to the legendary José Gaspar, with a blend of Bacardi 8yr, Spanish sherry, lapsang souchong tea-ki, blue spirulina, pineapple, & Peychauds.

There restaurant and bar will also be celebrating National Fish Taco Day with 50 percent off all fish tacos (happy hour tacos not included). Rubio’s Coastal Grill is widely credited with coming up with the food holiday in 2018 as part of a marketing stunt and claim to have launched the fish taco in the United States in 1983 in San Diego.
