
Carlos Eats is an award-winning blog run by Carlos Hernandez, an alumnus of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Carlos is a writer, content creator, marketer, among other things.
Carlos Eats began in 2010 as a local food review blog and has gone on to cover many different topics and issues.
Carlos has written articles as a contributing writer in the past for Creative Loafing and AOL Patch. Carlos Eats has been called one of the coolest emerging sites in the area by 83 Degrees Media and the best Tampa food blog by Re/Creating Tampa. Books and articles have named Carlos Eats as one of the best local resources in Tampa Bay.
Carlos was an organizer in 2013 for The World’s Largest Food Rally EVER which featured over 100+ food trucks from around the country and had over 30,000 people attend the Florida State Fairgrounds. The City of Tampa, ENCORE!, and the Tampa Tribune were partners for the event.
Carlos has been involved in numerous other local events including Florida State Fair, Blueberry Festival, Chocolate Sunday, Seminole Heights Japan Fest, Seminole Heights Chocolate Fest, Ybor City Grilled Cheese Festival, Taste the Best of Tampa Bay, and more.
