Grimaldi’s Pizzeria offers special deals this May for fans

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has a few upcoming specials for fans to enjoy over the next few weeks.

They will celebrate Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week and offer a 15% discount for all teachers and nurses from Monday, May 3rd to Friday, May 7th. To receive the discount, eligible parties must show a valid school or hospital identification card. 

For Mother’s Day, Grimaldi’s is offering gift card deals. From April 30th to May 3rd, earn a $20 bonus card for every $50 gift card purchased. Bonus cards are valid at all Grimaldi’s Pizzeria locations, except Grimaldi’s Pizzeria To-Go locations in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Austin, Texas. 

Additionally, those looking to dine-in on mom’s special day will enjoy a few  new cocktail additions to the beverage menu, including a top shelf Guava Margarita and a Peach Bellini.

For Tax Day on May 17th, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is celebrating with a special deal. On Monday, May 17th only, guests will enjoy16” traditional cheese pizzas for just $10.40 at all Grimaldi’s locations nationwide, except  the 1 Front Street location in Brooklyn and Grimaldi’s Pizzeria To-Go locations.

According to A Slice of Brooklyn, “Grimaldi’s was opened in 1990 by Patsy Grimaldi who learned to make pizza in 1941, when he was 12 years old, at his Uncle Patsy’s restaurant in Harlem called Patsy’s. Uncle Patsy was a pizzaiolo at Lombardi’s in Manhattan, the very first licensed pizzeria in the country.”

Pizza options on the menu include their traditional pizza made with a “secret recipe tomato sauce, hand sliced mozzarella and garnish of basil. Topped with our signature cheese and spice blend.” A pesto pizza, white with garlic pizza, bacon and asparagus pizza with spicy honey, prosciutto arugula pizza, the don, margherita, and more. 

Grimaldi’s opened their first location under the Brooklyn Bridge in the borough’s DUMBO neighborhood in 1990. Pizzas are prepared in the brand’s signature coal fired brick ovens. The concept uses a centerpiece coal-brick oven and custom water system that is designed to replicate New York City water. They offer vegan crusts and cauliflower crust options. 

Grimaldi’s partners with No Kids Hungry in an effort to combat childhood hunger nationwide. One in five children in the United States faces hunger every day. Since 2012, Grimaldi’s has raised over $1,000,000 for the cause with funds going to nutrition programs like school breakfast and summer meals.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, No Kids Hungry has sent more than $70 million in grant funding to 1,822 schools and organizations across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia and Guam to help children and their families get more of the food they need.
