DORAL, FLORIDA- Nacionsushi has opened its first U.S. location in South Florida’s Doral, bringing a popular high-energy Latin American fusion concept to diners.

Founded in Panama in 2014, Nacionsushi broke away from the conventional sushi restaurant formula with neon-lit energy, oversized graphics, deep house beats, and the region’s broadest menu of Japanese and Southeast Asian flavors.

This concept has now grown into one of Latin America’s most successful hospitality exports, with more than 40 restaurants across 11 markets including Colombia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Miami marks the U.S. debut, with Buenos Aires soon to follow.

“Bringing Nacionsushi to the United States is about more than opening a new location—it’s about sharing the way we see dining,” said Milton Reyes, CEO of Nacionsushi.

“We’ve built a brand that thrives on curiosity, inclusivity, and fun, and Miami is the perfect city to join our Nacion—a borderless community that celebrates flavor, culture, and connection.”

At the center of the experience are the famous XL rolls—protein-packed, rice-light, and available in over 30 bold varieties. Crispy Pizzas are made with toasted sushi rice base topped with fresh ingredients like smoked salmon, tuna, crab, vegetables, or a mixed combination; Taquitos Tuk Tuk with tuna tartare and avocado.

There’s also a flame-seared Nigiri Trío layered with cheese and yellow chili sauce; Onigiris with fluffy Japanese rice and a golden crispy exterior filled with salmon, tuna or chicken; Thai-inspired Laab Tacos wrapped in lettuce; and the Nasi Goreng: Indonesia’s iconic fried rice, wok-tossed with vegetables, soy sauce, spices, coconut milk, and finished with an egg tortilla spiral. Dessert options include Dulce de Leche Wonton and Mochis.

The creators of Nacionsushi envisioned each restaurant as a space where every corner invites guests to travel and dream, an urban fantasy inspired by Asia that awakens the senses and transports diners to another dimension. The architecture combines an industrial framework with vibrant touches of Japan and Southeast Asia, where every detail has been designed to take guest on a journey through their senses.

The Miami location continues this ethos with Nacionsushi’s signature multi-environment design, conceived as a journey across distinct spaces. A metallic curtain featuring urban art evokes Asia’s bustling street markets, while DJ-curated playlists play through the dining space, reinforcing the brand’s high-energy identity.

“Our goal is to create a dining experience that feels fresh, modern, and distinctly Nacion—crafted with refined flavors, inventive combinations, and an energy that’s open to all,” says Alex Vallejos, Owner Operator of Nacionsushi.

He continues:

Miami’s global character reflects our own—we’re not defined by borders or age groups. Whether you’re here for a family dinner, cocktails with friends, or late-night bites, Nacionsushi adapts to the moment while always staying bold, playful, and high-quality.
