ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Daycation Coffee is a new Asian-inspired coffee concept in Downtown St. Petersburg at 189 Dr M.L.K. Jr St N. Much like Lunar Coffee across the bay, Daycation offers premium teas and coffee with a heavy focus on Asian ingredients and concoctions including premium matcha green tea from Kyoto and a Yuzu Cold Brew. The coffee shop is run by Rachel Zhang, who saw a need for more Asian-style concepts in the Tampa Bay area.

Zhang is very friendly and has hired some staff that is just as pleasant and trained well about coffee and teas. Espresso is made with the best machines and hopefully over time there will be some collaborations with other local cafes, roasters, and bakers for this concept. The setup is very much a grab and go type of concept, but there are a few seats and plugs if you like to stay awhile like I do.

Since the shop itself is not too big, hopefully they will add some more patio seating outside in the future. The shop is just outside the main busy area just minutes from the EDGE district. Prices are fair and hopefully will remain that way.
