TAMPA, FL – Another business is now shutting down in Ybor City with local brewery Zydeco Brew Werks announcing it is closing its Ybor City brewery located at 1902 E 7th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605 after nearly six years of operation in the area. The brewery will have a going away party next weekend.

The announcement posted on Facebook reads: “We are sorry to announce, we will be closing our doors at the Ybor City location on the evening of January 21st. We want to take this chance to thank our amazing staff, loyal customers and supporters. We have enjoyed our almost 6 years in Ybor City with its amazing history and culture but we are looking forward to the next chapter. See you soon. -ZBW“

The announcement come just one day after The Florida Cane Distillery announced it is shutting its tasting room after a slowdown in tourism and business following a shooting in Halloween shooting in Ybor City.

Zydeco opened a location last year at MOSI Tampa and will continue to operate out of that location at 4801 E Fowler Ave Tampa, FL 33617. Zydeco focuses on Cajun and New Orleans-inspired food and beer. Zydeco was voted voted one of USA Today’s 10 best brewpubs in the United States in 2023.
