For over 10 years I have covered local news in Tampa for different media outlets since I started CarlosEats.com. My most recent projects included working with Patch News on a newsletter and writing food news for Mashed.com.

My daily newsletter with Patch is coming to an end, but its still important for me to keep readers updated on the latest on what’s happening to Tampa.

It brings me joy to keep people informed and share all the knowledge I have about what is happening in town from someone who has lived in Florida for over 20 years and grew up in the Sunshine State.

Just in the last 3 years I have covered local elections, an affordable housing crisis, crime in Tampa, the pandemic, restaurant openings and closures, and a number of other topics. It has been a journey following everything happening.
