TAMPA, FL – Hyde Park Preservation Inc. (HPPI) is hosting its first historical homes garden tour, The Old Hyde Park Garden Tour, on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free parking will be available in the Hyde Park Village Garages.
Several distinctive and beautiful gardens in the iconic Hyde Park neighborhood will be available to explore for guests, with sips, snacks, music, gardening demonstrations, and other surprises along the way.
Proceeds will benefit the preservation and beautification efforts of Hyde Park Preservation, Inc. Tickets are available for $30 in advance or $35 at the event.
“We are thrilled that HPPI’s inaugural Garden Tour is taking place this December! Beyond being a fun community event, the proceeds will allow HPPI to continue to invest in neighborhood improvements such as oak trees in right of ways and plantings in common areas,” said Marylou Bailey, Hyde Park Preservation President and one of the Garden Tour host homeowners.
The Old Hyde Park Garden Tour continues a long-running series of successful home and kitchen tours that have invited the community into one of Tampa’s most charming and historic neighborhoods. Tour-goers can stroll the unique neighborhood, just off of Bayshore Boulevard and experience some of the community’s most scenic and luxurious gardens.
Organizers are joining with Bloom garden shop and other gardening specialists and local restaurants, as well as the Gasparilla Music Foundation, for gardening guides, refreshments, and live entertainment at the homes and along the tour route.
