Wine Bar George at Disney Springs in Orlando is hosting a Spanish wine lunch with Master Sommelier George Miliotes and the Export Directors from both Muga and Alvear on Wednesday, June 16 from noon to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are now available online. With a combined 22 years of experience, guests will learn first hand about both Muga and Alvear from David de la Fuente de la Cruz and Alvaro Ruiz.
This multi-course lunch will be paired with a variety of Spanish specialties. Guests can expect to taste Alvear, Pedro Ximenez, Muga, Rosado, Rioja 2021, Muga, Prado Enea, Rioja 2014, Alvear, PX Solera 1927 and an additional surprise from Muga.
Bodegas Muga is a family business founded by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño in 1932, which is located in the historic Barrio de La Estación (Station Quarter) of Haro. With an area of around 25,000 square metres, Muga is home to both the most traditional winemaking methods and the latest cutting-edge techniques. They are the only cellar in Spain with a master cooper and three in-house barrel-makers.
Founded in 1729, Bodegas Alvear is one the most prestigious and oldest family run wineries in the world. It is the second oldest winery in Spain and the oldest in Andalucía. Alvear distributes its products all over Spain, with its main market being the Mediterranean region from Catalonia to Algeciras.
