ORLANDO, FL – Yumee Katsu Orlando captures katsu in a way that few places can achieve. The Korean restaurant is located in an obscure parking lot next to a laundromat at 5075 Edgewater Drive. You’ll miss the turn if you aren’t careful when visiting for your first time. There is plenty of parking which is nice.

It functions cafeteria style with kiosks at the front to take your order. Staff is available on hand and orders are prepared quickly. Before the food arrived, I noticed several Korean families and friends enjoying a quiet meal together during my visit.

When my order was ready it came out on a tray. You won’t find anything too fancy here, but a gamechanger is the definition of the cut on the katsu.

This was quality pork katsu I have not enjoyed since I was last in Japan or South Korea. In Korea, menus usually refer to the dish as Donkatsu and many restaurants have a very thin cut of meat, however this one was thick and juicy. No dryness. The side dishes and sauces felt authentic compared to a local South Korean cafe in Seoul.

In my opinion, this is one of the best katsu dishes I have enjoyed in Florida and perhaps the best I have had in the United States of America. The value is certainly there and you receive plenty for the price.

I recommend Yumee Katsu Orlando and would return. It is one of the best restaurants I have visited in town.
