TAMPA, FL – Hyde Park Village invites the community to celebrate the 2025 Holiday Happening, The Village’s annual tree lighting and holiday celebration hosted by Great Day Live’s Janelle Martinez. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit The Children’s Dream Fund, helping fulfill dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses across West Central Florida.

The event will take place Thursday, Nov. 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for 7:55 p.m. Admission is free and attendees and RSVP on Eventbrite.

Holiday Happening will features live music performances, family activities, and a chance to visit with Santa. Highlights include Nutcracker Performances by The Tampa City Ballet on stage and entertainment throughout the entire Village. Guests can enjoy an evening full of seasonal treats from Village eateries and local food vendors, and explore the open-air holiday market, full of unique gifts and treasures.

During the evening, Hyde Park Village and The Children’s Dream Fund will share a special moment, as a child facing serious health challenges has their dream fulfilled, a moving reminder of community, hope, and generosity at the heart of the holiday season.

Dreams are referred to by medical professionals, family members, and others, and are as unique as the children themselves. Popular requests include meeting a favorite celebrity, traveling to a dream destination, or receiving a special gift like a computer or playground. Many children choose a memorable week at Give Kids the World Village, where they can visit Orlando-area theme parks. As an independent organization, the Children’s Dream Fund is not affiliated with national networks and does not use telemarketing for fundraising.
