TOKYO, JAPAN – If you’re looking for a modern hotel near Tokyo Skytree when visiting Japan, One@Tokyo opened just a few years ago in 2020 in Sumida City near Oshiage Station. It’s easy to access from Haneda Airport and Narita Airport and is not a bad place to start a trip to Tokyo and Japan. The size of the rooms varies depending on how much you are willing to spend.

For my purposes, I wanted a room that was more affordable so my room was not too big with the bed taking up a good amount of the book. There were nice amenities included, such as complimentary slippers and two robes to wear during my stay. The stand-up shower was clean and I liked the complimentary toiletries and soap, bath wash, and shampoo/conditioner that was provided by the hotel. Staff was friendly.

The rooftop outlook in the hotel has a wonderful view of Tokyo Skytree although it does get very windy up there so bring a jacket in colder weather. There is complimentary coffee and tea on the first floor along with some seating, which I used during my visit to knockout some remote work in the early mornings before heading to convenience stores nearby and to the rest of the Tokyo.
Getting back to the hotel at night can be a little inconvenient because its farther from most of the stuff you would want to do around Tokyo so keep that in mind when traveling around town. It’s not a bad place to start your trip though maybe for a night or two. The town is quiet around the area and things close early so don’t expect much nightlife around One@Tokyo. It would be nice if they added a bar in the future to help makeup for the lack of nightlife for hotel guests.
I do recommend One@Tokyo and would stay here again. It’s modern and clean and the staff is friendly. They offer deals for longer stays as well so I would definitely check out their reservations website.
