I have wanted a cold brew maker for a few years. I bought a tea maker a few years back that also worked as a cold brew maker, but it was a little complicated to use and would often leak out, or it didn’t feel like the water was interacting well enough with the appliance. I am happy to say that is not the case with the Hario “Mizudashi” Cold Brew Coffee Pot, 600ml, Black. I chose to go with this model because I wanted something small that I could fit inside my fridge and I read some reviews were people claimed the bigger ones didn’t lead to the product steeping as well.
I grinded up some fresh coffee and loaded it inside the maker with a coarse grind, put the “Mizudashi” Cold Brew Coffee Pot in the fridge and let the coffee get to work. The next morning when I woke up for work, I poured myself a cup over some ice and was impressed at how deep and complex the flavor was. It was perfect. The product had prevented sediment from sipping into the batch and my coffee was bold and flavorful. I could get used to this.

Since then I have used the coffee pot about 3 times and the result has been the same. The glass is easy to clean as well. I appreciate how easily I was able to get the grounds out and I hope it will stay that way. Considering that cold brew is now over $6 at some coffee shops a glass, I think this machine pays for itself at under $20 for this size.
I recommend the Hario “Mizudashi” Cold Brew Coffee Pot, 600ml, Black. This excellent product really shows how Japan understands coffee culture and creates quality products for fans of a good Cup of Joe.
