TOKYO, JAPAN – Tokyo Haneda Airport, also known as Tokyo International Airport, has been named the World’s Cleanest Airport 2025 in the Major Airport Category by Skytrax, beating out neighboring Narita at no. 7. Over 100 customer nationalities participated in the 2024-2025 survey. Travellers from across the globe take part in the airport customer satisfaction survey to decide award winners.

The World Airport Awards began in 1999, when Skytrax launched its first global, Airport customer satisfaction survey. Regarded as a quality benchmark for the world airport industry and assessing customer service and facilities across over 500 airports.

There is no entry fee or any type of payment by an airport (or other third party) to be included in the survey or awards, with the survey and awards process fully funded by Skytrax.

The Tokyo Haneda Airport re-opened in 1955 after being returned by the U.S.A. after World War 2 and has grown in popularity in recent years as more airlines connect into Haneda. A new International Passenger Terminal opened in 2010 and construction was done from 2017-2020 to expand Haneda International Passenger Terminal 2.
